Rusynification is a word that describes the systematic changing of a society based on a desire to prioritize Rusyn ideas, culture, and language. This is most often employed in native Rusyn areas where assimilation pressure was particularly strong from outside forces. It can also be used in a context where someone is trying to stave off a current attempt at assimilation (see Ukrainization).
