The third edition of Ivan Pankevych’s grammar for schools in interwar Subcarpathian Rus. The grammar was authorised by the provincial administration. Pankevych based his grammar on the Ukrainian language, but used etymological spelling to make it more acceptable for the Subcarpathian public. Over time, certain Galician Ukrainian features were changed to conform to standard Ukrainian.
