A comprehensive survey of Uhro-Rusyn ethnography, providing information on holiday traditions, clothing, food and other aspects of contemporary Rusyn life. The work was published in two abridged editions in the author’s lifetime. This document is the 1896 Ukrainian edition, containing about a third of the original. The full text, containing sections on history and ethnogenesis, was reconstructed based on the author’s manuscript (in Rusyn) and published in 2007 along with the two abridged editions.
