A detailed account of the 1944 Mukachevo Congress, which approved the manifesto calling for “reunification” with Soviet Ukraine, written in accordance with Soviet Marxist historiography.

The author, himself a guest to the Congress, describes the event as a progressive act of liberation of the Transcarpathian Ukrainian worker and peasant masses. The book includes short biographies for a few select delegates.
