The first book from the four-volume collection by Vladymir Chŷľak, the leading 19th century Lemko writer, containing the short novel Gallows Hill. The historical novel deals with the events of the Bar Confederation in the Lemko Region. The entire four-volume collection of Chŷľak’s writings was recently published in a modern Lemko Rusyn translation.
