He grew up surrounded by the Rusyn language, traditions and progressive ideas. Early on, he took interest in history, philosophy, poetry and social cybernetics. He earned a Master's degree in history at Comenius University Bratislava in 2022 where his thesis concerned the modernization of Subcarpathian Rus in the interwar period. He continues his doctoral studies in Charles University in Prague, specializing in modern economic and social history of Subcarpathia.
